outline: The 20th "China Optics Valley" International Optoelectronics Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Optics Expo) opened on May 15, 2025, at the China Optics Valley Science and Technology Convention and Exhibition Center. The expo was hosted by the People's Government of Hubei Province and co-hosted by the People's Government of Wuhan City, the Hubei Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and the Management Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone. Themed "Light Connects All Things, Intelligence Leads the Future," this year's expo was included for the first time in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) global series of events for the International Day of Light, making it a major focus in the global optoelectronics field.

On May 15, 2025, the 20th "China Optics Valley" International Optoelectronics Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Optics Expo) opened at the China Optics Valley Science and Technology Convention and Exhibition Center. The expo was hosted by the People's Government of Hubei Province and co-hosted by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government, the Hubei Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and the Management Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone. Themed "Light Connects All Things, Intelligence Leads the Future," it was included for the first time in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) global series of events for the International Day of Light, becoming a major focus in the global optoelectronics field.

As a top event in China's optoelectronic information industry, this year's Optics Expo covered an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters. It attracted 390 companies from 12 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, France, Russia, Nigeria, and Malaysia. The expo brought together 24 domestic and foreign academicians, over 40 international experts, and over 230 well-known entrepreneurs to witness the debut of nearly 100 cutting-edge technologies in the global optoelectronics field. Breaking away from traditional frameworks, the expo featured a "land, air, and sea" unmanned vehicle equipment demonstration area for the first time. Through integrated scenarios such as "light + unmanned vehicle equipment," "light + robots," and "light + AI," it vividly showcased the supporting role of optoelectronic technology in emerging fields such as low-altitude economy, intelligent vehicles, and intelligent manufacturing, highlighting the driving force of optoelectronic technology for industrial upgrading.

Understanding Optical Prisms: Essential Components in Photonics

outline: Optical prisms are fundamental elements in the realm of photonics, serving a myriad of functions across various applications. These transparent devices are typically made from materials like glass or crystal and are designed to bend or refract light. The principles governing their operation are based on Snell's Law, which describes how light changes direction when it passes from one medium to anot
