Separation and filtering of polarized light
Incident unpolarized light or mixed polarized light is separated into two beams of linearly polarized light (ordinary light o-light and extraordinary light e-light) with mutually perpendicular vibration directions. Through structural design (such as air gaps or adhesives), only one beam (e.g., e-light) is allowed to pass, while the other is reflected or absorbed.
High Extinction Ratio polarized light output
Outputs linearly polarized light with extremely high polarization, with an Extinction Ratio reaching 10⁴:1 or higher. Suitable for precision optical systems requiring pure polarized light (such as laser modulation, fiber optic communication, optical measurement, etc.).
Analysis and control of polarization state
As an analyzer, it detects the polarization state of incident light (such as determining whether it is linearly polarized light and its vibration direction), or is used to control the polarization features of light (such as preventing reflected light from interfering with the light source in an optical isolator).
